Take a guided audio walking or biking tour around the EcoLoop at High Falls. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the falls and the Genesee River gorge from two different bridges spanning the river.
Due to construction on the Pont De Rennes pedestrian bridge, a detour on the sidewalk along Rochester’s Inner Loop takes you on a route above High Falls. You can also use this route to quickly get to High Falls Terrace Park for a spectacular view of High Falls.
This Ecoloop tour lets you explore the sites of Rochester's early industrial development, while you learn about recycling in Rochester more than a hundred years ago, and the importance of biodiversity and pollinators today. You’ll see plans for creating a New York State Park in the gorge, which will someday allow you to get all the way to the bottom of High Falls.
Greentopia has partnered with Tour Blend to create this audio tour, narrated by Howard Decker, which follows a 1.5 mile loop around the High Falls Gorge on portions of the Genesee Riverway Trail and St. Paul Street.
