Ontario Beach Park

Whether taking a romantic stroll along the pier or boardwalk, riding the Historic 1905 Dentzel Carousel, picnicking or swimming, Ontario Beach Park provides a perfect summer day at the beach.

Ontario Beach Park opened in 1884. A century ago, this area was an amusement park known as the "Coney Island of the West". Today, it features one of the best natural sand beaches along the Great Lakes.

There are many monuments throughout the park that pay tribute to soldiers from World War I and II and those from the local Charlotte High School who gave their lives for their country.
