This narrated tour guides you along the Thomas R. Frey Trail at El Camino. The trail begins at Conkey Corner Park, at the corner of Clifford and Conkey Avenues. From the park, you can head north all the way to Seneca Park and the zoo. Along the way, you’ll hear stories from committed neighbors who’ve made the area more attractive and family friendly. You can also head south two blocks to Scrantom Street, and then west towards the Genesee River.
To reach Conkey Corner Park, take bus # 1 along St Paul Street to Clifford Avenue and walk two blocks east (away from the Genesee River) , or take bus #2 along North Clinton Street to Clifford Avenue, and walk three blocks west.
Construction of El Camino, which follows an abandoned CSX railroad right-of-way, was finished in the spring of 2012. It was developed by the City of Rochester in partnership with the Genesee Land Trust.
