Genesee River Boating Tour

This audio boating tour takes you up the Genesee River, from Lake Ontario to the Lower Falls. You can also hike or bike the first portion of this tour, using the Genesee River trail along the west side of the river.

You can launch your boat at the Port of Rochester. The boat launch is at the southeast end of the boat harbor, along the Genessee River. There's a fee for motorboats, but not for paddlers.

If you have a canoe or kayak, you can launch it at the Petten Street. The dock includes an ADA accessible ramp which allows kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders to safely launch and land their boats.
